With its tranquil wooded setting, Stepping Stones Park is located along the Sandusky River close to the old stepping stones used in earlier days to cross the river. With its mile of trail, this is a favorite ”walk park” for many residents in good and not-so-good weather, from early morning hours to late evening. Three gazebos provide shelter and are often reserved for weddings, meetings, and special occasions. At times, deer are known to frequent the park. Cross the Sandusky River via the Veterans Bridge and view the stepping stones to the south. Ahead find a small grassy plain with an extension of the walking trail along the east side of the river. Find a bench or swing on either side of the river. Sit. Enjoy the peace of nature at its best.
