Clay Plant Road goes south from Wilderness Road in Wayne County and can be productive when the farm fields are flooded near Funk Bottoms Wildlife Area. The road traverses private farm fields. Please, view birds from the road only.
Some years, when Clay Plant Road is not passable from Wilderness Road, you can access it from the other end at OH-3. Rusty Blackbirds can sometimes be found near the intersection with Schwartzwalder Road.
Do not drive into the water on any flooded road in the area. The back roads in this area are dirt and gravel. They can be quite soft and muddy when drying out after being flooded.
No restroom facilities.
