The City of Marysville, the Paris Township Trustees, and the Union County Commissioners identified the need for recreational facilities and activities to serve all the residents of Union County. Therefore, these 3 government entities established the Union County Joint Recreation District (UCJRD). The UCJRD is an approximately fifty-acre complex.
There are approximately 25 acres left for future development. The UCJRD has plans to develop these acres with additional soccer, football, baseball, picnic, family reunion, tennis, basketball, horseshoe, and shuffleboard facilities.
