About Crown Point Ecology Center
The mission of Crown Point is to demonstrate the practical applications of ecology and to connect spirituality, social justice, and environmental protection. The vision of Crown Point is to be a role model for food security and sustainable land use, through farm stewardship, advocacy, education, and collaboration. Crown Point expresses its mission through organic agriculture and environmental education programs that integrate four core values — Community, Justice, Spirituality, and Sustainability.

Crown Point welcomes all who wish to learn more about restoring Earth and creating a sustainable future. Office hours are 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday, but the grounds are free and open from early morning to early evening every day. Please, park as directed by signs in the grass near the barn during warm weather months. In the winter, please park along the circular driveway near the white farmhouse. A self-guided walking tour is available from the kiosk located by the main barn. Picnic tables may be used anytime. For group visits or to rent facilities – the barn, orchard house, and/or picnic area, please make reservations in advance. Pets on leashes are welcome on the grounds except in the Dr. Sandra Kay and Magdalyn E. Hausfeld Children’s Garden and in the farm fields. Horses, dirt bikes or ATVs are not allowed on the property. This is a non-smoking and gun-free facility indoors and outdoors.
