About Tam O’Shanter Park
Using Clean Ohio funds, the former golf course is the 15th park in the Stark Parks system. Stark Parks acquired the first phase of the Tam O’Shanter Park in 2018, encompassing 94 acres. A second phase of purchase is anticipated in mid-2019. A partnership with Jackson Township Parks will allow for active recreation to be created in a 40 acre space near Fulton Drive. The park is open daily for hiking and nature and wildlife viewing.
The Tam O’Shanter Shelter is nestled among trees overlooking several views of the park. It is perfect for a party of up to 110 people. The open-air shelter is equipped with electricity, picnic tables, ADA picnic table, and two charcoal grills. Parking and a portable restroom are located near the shelter.
