Ohio 18 Fostoria, Ohio 44830
Official WebsiteFruth Wetland Nature Preserve is 20 beautiful acres southeast of Fostoria and is home to a diverse ecological environment including a wetland.
It’s easy to miss the property since it sits at the end of a long driveway in the back of a farm field. There are about 1-1.5 miles of trails. Half of them are a loop around the wetland/prairie and the other half is a loop through the woods. The forest trail can be muddy and somewhat hard to follow. The woods are small so it would be hard to get lost. There is a big shelter picnic area and a playground. Trails are not paved.
Forest is small and woodpeckers seem prevalent.
The facility has 10 acres of woods and 10 acres of open area with a picnic area, a shelter, and a play structure.
