MVNU Woods is entirely woodland–scope not needed. There is a pine stand in the north-central portion of the area that may be good for owls. This is not a vast plot. Trails are extremely well-marked and less than 2 miles total. There is a small, unpaved parking area just off the road by the entrance.

About Mount Vernon Nazarene University Woods
Mount Vernon Nazarene University Woods (MVNU Woods) is a natural area consisting of sixty-six acres of wooded land at the northeast corner of Proper Road and North Liberty Road. The property was purchased by Mount Vernon Nazarene University in 1978, and by The Ramser Arboretum in 2013. MVNU Woods was used as a field biology station by the university.
​MVNU Woods is open daily from dawn to dusk (closed during deer gun seasons).
