About Main Street Beach
Main Street Beach is located at the northern end of Main Street in downtown Vermilion.

The nearly one-acre site features over 330 feet of accessible shore. Swimming and fishing are permitted. Main Street Beach is also a canoe and kayak access site along the 27-mile Vermilion-Lorain Water Trail.

Amenities include a handicapped-accessible observation deck and benches. A wheelchair specially designed for beach accessibility is available free of charge. Parking is located just to the south on Main Street.

The beach is adjacently located east of the former Inland Seas Maritime Museum and Great Lakes Historical Society building and grounds. The publicly-accessible grounds feature unobstructed views of the lake and the replica Vermilion Lighthouse. The city of Vermilion intends to develop the property into a passive park.
