There are two parking areas at the park:
1) the one Google maps takes you to at the corner of East Street and Elm Street
2) a lower lot next to the tennis courts and at the top of the sledding hill and prairie area, off of Berlin Street.
The park has a couple of rows of tall spruces on the north and west sides; the sledding hill looks like it’s unmowed in summer, and it goes down to woods and a creek at the bottom of the hill.
This park is a good spot to check for winter finches and spring migrants that like to spend time in treetops. Standing in the lower parking lot, you’d have unobstructed eye-level scope views of a line of the creekside tree canopy.
Picnic tables, shelters, grills, playground, swings, restroom, sledding hill, skateboard park, ball field, sand volleyball court, and tennis courts.
