Tips for birding Rocky River Park
Rocky River Park, 4.97 acres, provides public access to the lakefront. From its observation decks birders can see from the mouth of the Rocky River to Bradstreet’s Landing. This lakefront location has a small playground, picnic shelter, grills, restrooms and observation decks.
From Lake Road (US-6) turn north on Falmouth Drive to the stop sign at Beach Cliff Boulevard. The park entrance is ahead on the left.

Rocky River Park is a stop on the Lake Erie Birding Trail.
Rocky River Park has a deck which is a great place to set up a scope to view birds on Lake Erie. It is located on Beach Cliff Boulevard north of Lake Road in Rocky River. It is a bit difficult to find on a first visit but well worth the search for viewing birds on the lake.

About Rocky River Park
The 6-acre Rocky River Park is located on Beach Cliff Boulevard at Parkside and Falmouth drives in Rocky River. The main parking lot is off of Parkside Drive. Two paved walkways lead into the park from Beach Cliff Boulevard.
Benches and a boardwalk on the west side of the park overlook a 50-foot bluff, while the re-graded east side of the park gently slopes to an accessible beach. A 175-foot pier marks the eastern limit of the park and beach. A row of stone blocks placed offshore helps maintain the beach. Swimming, wading, fishing and boat launching are prohibited at the park.
Additional amenities at Rocky River Park include a playground, picnic tables, grills and restrooms.

Along the park’s east side, a handicap accessible paved walkway is separated by a green chain-link safety fence from a low, steep, vegetated bluff at the back of the beach.
