Tips for birding Scranton Road Peninsula
Scranton Flats on the Scranton Road Peninsula is a public park. In winter 2014 we have had Glaucous Gull, Iceland Gull, Lesser Black-backed Gull, Ruddy Duck, Bufflehead, White-winged Scoter and the more common stuff that one might see at a lakeshore location such as East 72nd Street, only at much closer range. Birders love this as a winter hotspot.
