About Sherman Avenue Park, Buck Creek Trail
Sherman Avenue Park stretches across an expansive 70 acres and provides easy access to the Buck Creek Trail. This greenspace includes a playground, outdoor basketball court, a football field and shelter house–giving you a chance for some fresh air whether you’re relaxing with friends and family or going toe to toe in a friendly neighborhood game.

About Buck Creek Trail
Follow Buck Creek along a quaint, scenic wooded multi-use trail stretching from Plum Street all the way to Buck Creek State Park. Whether you’re cycling, skating, jogging or just taking a leisurely stroll, the Buck Creek Trail offers plenty of opportunities to connect with both nature and amenities at Veterans Park and Old Reid Park as you traverse these nine paved miles. Printed maps of the Great Springfield Trailways are available for free at the National Trail Parks and Registration Admin Building. You can also download the map.
Parking and restrooms are available in designated lots along the trail:
