About this Location

The Leadingham Prairie Preserve is one of the properties in the Spangler Nature Preserve.

Spangler Nature Preserve is one of the newest parks managed by the Clark County Park District. Thanks to the Clean Ohio Conservation Fund grants program managed by the Ohio Public Works Commission, the Clark County Park District was able to purchase the Leadingham farm south of the Estel Wenrick Wetlands, expanding the nature preserve to over 300 acres. The newly planted Prairie Preserve opened in 2014 with nearly two miles of walking trails through the prairie.

Long range plans for the farmstead buildings include a Nature Center to offer fun and creative hands-on educational opportunities to the entire region.
