Whipple State Nature Preserve Trails
There is a 2-mile loop trail system at Whipple State Nature Preserve.
Park in a gravel pull-off on the east side of the highway. There is very limited parking here, so please try to leave a little room for other visitors. The sign is just off of the road. Whipple has marked trails that are easy to follow and navigate.
About Whipple State Nature Preserve

Whipple State Nature Preserve contains a narrow wooded ridgetop, pocketed with small sinkholes. The ridgetop and head of the valley is bordered by dolomite cliffs of 10-30 feet in height.
There is an abundance of ferns and spring wildflowers throughout the wooded preserve. This area is dedicated in honor of Robert A. Whipple, who generously gave this land to the Division of Natural Areas and Preserve in 1989.
Located in Adams County on the east side of OH-247, approximately 1 mile north of US-52. Park in a gravel pull-off on the east side of the highway.
